Designed & Manufactured in the UK

When you buy a Lazer Lamps' product, you buy a product designed and made in the UK. A product assembled from parts carefully sourced from 'local' suppliers wherever possible. Suppliers that match our high standards and expectations, while sharing a common goal to minimise our impact on the planet. At the same time, through increasing our in-house production and downstream processes, we're taking more ownership for the quality of our products and their environmental footprint. 2. Understanding Effective Lumens

    Understanding Effective Lumens

Lighting specifications sometimes aren’t worth the paper they’re written on; the lack of third-party validation means some brands/producers claim what they want, bending the figures to suit their own narrative. Nowhere is this more true than when it comes to lumen figures. In this article, we explain raw and actual/effective lumens, the difference between both, and the concept of 'Driver's FOV Flux' which we have applied in our calculations of effective lumens now published for our core product ranges.

Triple-R Lights are now in the USA!

Fitting auxiliary LED lighting to an ATV, Quad, Motorcycle or Snowmobile

With such a wide range of high performance LED driving lights in our repertoire it is no surprise that the variety of vehicles they are fitted to is equally as wide. Our low-profile Linear range in particular is well-suited to being fitted to vehicles where space is a premium, such as Snowmobiles, ATVs, Quads and even Motorbikes. But we do also have customers who have successfully fitted ST Evolution, Triple-R and Utility Series lights to these and benefitted from the huge increase in illumination. Which is a big benefit away from urban areas, off road, or off-piste.

  5. Installing auxiliary LED lights to a vehicle fitted with CAN wiring

Installing auxiliary LED lights to a vehicle fitted with CAN wiring

Originally developed by Bosch in the 1980s, CAN (Control Area Network) is a robust system which enables high-speed communications and signals between different systems on a vehicle without the need for complex wiring. An increasing number of manufacturers utilise CAN Bus for managing systems such as lighting, heating, instrumentation, suspension, braking and engine control with separate ECUs which can be linked with a single pair of wires, thus drastically cutting down the total amount of wiring required within a vehicle.

  6. The Best Rally Light Pods for Rally Cars

    Lazer LED Rally Light Pod

Fitting auxiliary lights to a rally car has been around almost since the very first cars started racing. In bad weather, low light conditions and night stages, rally drivers need better visibility of the road ahead and a clear view of the track. The first auxiliary rally car lights were simply additional headlights mounted across the front of the grille or over the bonnet. Look back to rally cars of the 70s and 80s and the traditional bonnet mounted lights became iconic, to the extent that the Lancia Stratos looks positively naked without the four extra rally lights mounted to the front edge of the bonnet. The major downside of this was that it just made the existing field of view brighter, it did not extend or widen the visibility

LED technology is moving fast, not only becoming more efficient, but more reliable as well. As a market leader and innovator, we’re constantly looking to upgrade products and launch new ones, optimising lighting performance for different applications depending on: the intensity of light, visibility at the sides of the road, and up/down spread. Considering our different products, and new and upgraded products available since this Autumn (Triple-R Gen2), take a closer look at the differences in light distribution of each.
